MEMORY IN A BOTTLE WORKSHOPS

Inspired by the stories we captured, our workshops help ignite creativity, build pride and celebrate community.

Through hands-on oral storytelling sessions, participants will explore how to collect, share, and preserve memories—just as we did with residents along the coast.

Learning to capture a powerful story through conversation, our workshops are about giving young people the tools to find and share their own stories.

Designed to support the Key Stage 3 curriculum, the workshops encourage listening, creativity, and pride in the places we call home.

ORAL STORYTELLING

Give your students an unforgettable creative experience that deepens their connection to where they live.

This inspiring two-hour storytelling workshop, developed and delivered by Memory in a Bottle Creative Director Jess Birch, uses fun, hands-on activities to spark imagination, develop critical thinking, and boost teamwork — all while highlighting local heritage and hidden community treasures.

In the session, students will learn how to find and share powerful stories, building essential skills in creativity, communication, and active listening. They’ll leave not just with a new appreciation of their local area, but with a stronger sense of pride and belonging.

Designed to enrich the curriculum while empowering young voices, this workshop offers a powerful way to celebrate local culture, strengthen community spirit, and inspire the next generation of storytellers.
